I'm going to get my first next August (2006) prior to my 55th Birthday! It's one of the things on my "Mid-Life Crisis" list. Men get sports cars and younger women. I'm getting a tattoo and a motorcycle!

Isn't it exciting to have the freedom to decided this? It took me over a year to finally decide this was what I wanted. But now that I have it, I'm SO happy that I got it. NO other person has THIS tat. They may have one that looks like it, but even if the same guy did the tat, it would never be the SAME. I like that.
I am working on one that I'm designing from a picture of a bird I lost last January. Once I get it the way I want it, I'm going to have it on my ankle.
Maybe it can be a christmas gift...(hint hint....Dave)

I agree with the others - it's addictive - I've planned loads more, but will have to argue my cause!

Sounds really beautiful...but WOW, 11 hours?!?! Are you going to sit through it all in one sitting. Or break it up in days? I was talking with someone and they got one that took 5 hours, they said they wished they had broken it up over a couple of days. Me, I *think* I might want to just get it done in one wack and be finished with it. Not sure though.
