A woman into horse racing at an early age? Do many women in ausralia like horse racing? I'm just curious?
Yeap, obsession were i am, Grandfather and uncle basil, had a horse called Veandercross, who got second in the Melbourne Cup years ago (only recognisable claim to fame), he won some good NZ races too.
Mum was a jockey for a little while. I was too tall and heavy, have track ridden since i was legally allowed (16 yrs) (and before), sister who track rides as well. Crazy family mine

But what a race it was! Even Mrs Ozzie who normally has no interest was so excited about this win! That horse came from the back half of the field with obly 1000 to go and still streaked through to win. Incredible! Probably the greatest race I've seen! Marvellous.

Yeah I had alot of fun there. I didn't dress up though. Steve has a very interesting group of friends.
Congrats for winning to Eva, Miss Mg, Kiddotan, and anyone else who won. This must be very big in Australia. Here in the USA you would never have this many people on a MB that would even know that a horse race even took place.

I I didn't win either I had Railings. But I did shut the office at 1pm at spent the afternoon at the local which was VERY GOOD One of my mystery trifectas got 1st 2nd 4th (So close and yet so far)

Well guess what happened this morning....
The guy who ran the office sweepstakes came up to me and told me that I had won a prize of $2 for my horse coming LAST in the race!!! How funny is that!? It cost me $2 to get into the sweep so I got that money back....
How silly!
