wow, return visits were what i lived for. i hated door to door, suspense, saying those stupid presentations, asking for money, blech.

what i found fascinating was bible discussions and/or debates where i actually got to use my brain.

i likes RV's better than Bible Studies, cause they were too repetitive.

I know exactly what you mean - I HATED the cold calling

I once did pioneer hours during the school holidays - most of them was made up of return visits with my mom - I could let her do all the work !!!

    Bull!

Of course I did - what better way to ensure my mag placings were always higher than the national average! and they were always a 40 minute drive in a vilage on the very edge of our territory, thus keeping my hours way above national average too!

Yes I made return visits, especially when I was pioneering. I had a lot of placements who would invite me in for a drink, very welcome on a cold winter day. I'm happy to say none of them amounted to anything though, no one joined because of me.

According to my time cards I made exactly one a month for who knows how many years. I did make a point to rack up so called return visits which were actually just people I was sure wouldn't be home, that way I could use up all that time driving there and not have to talk to anyone. That's right, I was mr. productive.

Yup, I sure did...didn't like it though, then again didn't like the whole field service thing anyway. Who did?

    yuck!

The more time I spend here the more I realise I was a crap witness anyway! I HATED return visits, I just knew they didn' want to see me! I stuck with my good old fashioned route calls, the ones who'd give me a cup of tea and chat for an hour about nothing! I always found it slightly embarassing to try and explain the truth to people, it just didn't ring 'true'! dont know why I didn't connect back then that it wasn't right for my very reasonable mind. I really hated it if one of them would come to the memorial, I would squirm in my seat as I was trying to work out what they were thinking of what was being said!! Think the JWs are better off without me!

I disliked going on return visits more than the original door to door work. Now, someone else's return visit was just fine, as it took a few minutes to get there, and I didn't have to talk, and half of the time I didn't have to get out of the car.

My mother made me worst part of placing magazines. I always hoped there would be no one home when I went back or tried to fob off some "I thought you might like the latest" crap.
