There is something very fishy about this WT article.
This is nothing new in Watchtowerland. MUCH of their information in the litter-ature is faulty, fishy, unsubstantiated and unprovable.
The sad part is that the JWs slurp it up and gulp it down because they are told it is "food from God" and therefore implicity trust in everything the this fraudulent publishing company spews out.
Just out of curiousity......
Dfed....how do you feel about this article about the "new friends" that accepted the WTS? How do you feel about the fact that shunning is used as a control (FEAR) mechanism and yet still used by the WTS?
How do you feel about admittedly imperfect men not only completely directing your steps, but being given the self-imposed "authority" to order others who you can and cannot associate with until THEY say you can?
Ripping family bonds to shreds is NOT a Christian thing to practice, but JWs have to "mind the elders" and go along with the program or be kicked to the curb.
Worship through fear is not real worship, but cruelty to those who continue to buy into it......thinking and being told that Jesus "works" in this way.

I thought that was interesting too re the Mennonites. JW's reckon they are the only religious group that as a whole wouldn't go to war.
I couldn't believe what I was reading and had to go check my personal copy of the Sept 1 WT (not that I don't trust you, elsewhere!). That they have the gall to print something like this makes me just shake my head in amazement. I guess it's OK to condemn another religion for doing the exact same thing they do, because they have THE TRUTH!!!
