Do you believe in Karma? Why or why not?

Nope. I've seen too many people who should've been punished for what they've done and have come to realize it ain't gonna happen! They got away with what they did and will continue to be the happy clams they are.

I do good because I want to, because that is who I am, not because I think there will be a reward later on for me, whether in life or death. There hasn't been and I don't feel will be.

I've accepted life for what it is. I just keep on trekkin for my own self.

So Karma is kinda like your Ebay rating right? - Seriously, it's tosh. Only one guy summed up Karma for me and his lyrics chime quite well with this ex-jw.

    Boy George - Karma Chameleon

Desert loving in your eyes all the way
If I listen to your lies would you say
    I’m a man without conviction
    I’m a man who doesn’t know
    How to sell a contradiction
    You come and go
    You come and go

Karma karma karma karma karma chameleon
    You come and go
    You come and go
Loving would be easy if your colors were like my dream
    Red, gold and green
    Red, gold and green

Didn’t hear your wicked words every day
And you used to be so sweet I heard you say
That my love was an addiction
When we cling our love is strong
When you go you’re gone forever
    You string along
    You string along

Every day is like a survival
You’re my lover not my rival
Every day is like a survival
You’re my lover not my rival

    I’m a man without conviction
    I’m a man who doesn’t know
    How to sell a contradication
    You come and go
    You come and go

    Interesting side point ....

Karma doesn't need an organization. How many people believe Karma? And yet there is no Organization?

Typical JW response: "But there HAS to be an Organization to move Karma forward!"

I believe in karma, even if it is in the next life. But I also believe in the law of three. Whatever you do--good or bad, will come back to you threefold.

But I also believe in the law of three.

I don't want to debate about this, because I've done too much of it in the past with Wiccans. The law of three was made up out of thin air and has no basis in reality. It's a law made up by man, perhaps Gardner or Crowley specifically, to keep the newly emerging witch religion, Wicca, in line.

That being said, Do What Thou Wilt.

    from my studies and experiences

    karma means actions have consequences.

basically skillful gambling produces better results than wild guessing and unskillful play.

    here are some examples....

say you hurt someone really bad... say ten or fifteen years ago, you dont even remember it consciously any longer....

however you go for a new job and suddenly find yourself sabotaging your own interview for no apparent reason... it could be because deep down you did not forget what you did and part of you does not believe you deserve this new job or promotion etc... and even though you cannot for the life of you see this consciously, does not mean it can't occur, and those who believe in rebirth believe this can carry over from one life to the next...

while doing relative good may not always bring you benefit,[no good deed goes unpunished] it certainly seems that experience tells us that F**king people over can bring more harmful results more than benefitting them.
