When do you start puting up your Christmas decorations? (page 2)

I start the saturday after Thanksgiving.

In Winnipeg people put Halloween and xmas decorations up and lit at the same time. Side is usually after Dec 1st.

When I first got a tree (an older one from a friend) I put it up in July and left it up for a long long time.

The secret, JH, is to leave them up, then you don't have to put them up.

I usually put them up the day after thanksgiving....unless we are doing home improvement projects.....Then it has happened just a week before Christmas.

Since we aren't putting up a ceiling or refinishing our wood floors this year.....LOL..

I think it will be the day after Thanksgiving!

Last year my husband threw them up outside before Halloween even. It was a little embarrassing when all the kids trick or treating were asking why we had them up already. Hey it was our first year really decorating and we were a little anxious.

This year it won't be until friday after Thanksgiving...

I too put them up right after Thanksgiving and take em down right after new years.

I don't decorate, or I decorate very sparingly, like a wreath on the door or some mistle toe around the house. I do that around mid December and stays on until around Jan 10th.
