No, there are 5 MS in my family, 5 congregations, 2 states, all used green envelopes.

It must be an American thing. I just checked my copy of the instructions for account servants and there is no mention of using coloured envelopes.

I can see it being more necessary in the US than the UK given the number of congregations. I actually learned about the colored envelopes touring Brooklyn Bethel's mail system.

Sounds like someones a little afraid of legal actions!

This was the point I was going to make as well. In buisness that's one of the first things you learn. A copy of everything must me copied and filed. There is no such thing as too much documentation. It cracked me up to read "do not keep a copy of this form".
