Hamsterbastard,
Jude: the Brothers at love feasts tempting the weak into sin and eternal destruction.
When you read the context, yes, these were believers in christ, however the warning was for those who would DENY christ ( see verse 4 ) in which sin is unforgivable according to Jesus.
MDBastard,
Why do we still do this? I follow Calvin, I follow Paul, I follow Apollos, I follow...
Nobody is saying they FOLLOW these men....as one would FOLLOW christ. Sharing the opinion on scripture with another doesn't mean you ' follow ' them.
Satanasaurus,
Can i be devil's advocate for sociopaths? Thankyou. All indications are that true sociopaths are unable to change their state, even if they wanted to
Ok ya winey bastard I used the wrong word so slap me im my nutsack why don't ya! ...sheesh! What I mean was..........Some people regardless of the love shown to them, the chances they are given, and the consequences they see for themselves going down the wrong path.....will STILL take that wrong path. Actually your correct about a sociopath as they have NO FEELINGS OF REMORSE. This is different than one who feels but carries out the act regardless. Your correct also in Jesus/god being the judge of these ones. There, I apologized and admitted my mistake.....will ya send me a dube in the mail now?
DD,
Psssst LT
Do you think Gumby is checking for fire insurance?
LMAO.....Good one Actually, even though I don't believe that way....I somehow feel relieved
Ianone,
It really doesn't matter what kind of person Calvin was. If his teachings had substance....who cares. I heard ghandi played with himself
And Megabastard,
Just because you accept that person for all time doesn't mean you're really going to do it over the long haul. You may choose to get a divorce later.
This brings me to an important issue.
From a biblical perspective, those who reject christ out of true disbelief are DIFFERENT than one who truly believe... yet rejects him. It would be like a kid crying "daddy daddy I love you, please hold me"..........................and the daddy walks away. I can't see anyone who truly believes without serious doubts turning away.
I also disagree with the mans statement I took the material from in my initial post on this thread. He said,
"The new nature, the spiritual being born of the new birth, is not disposed to sin, and will be destroyed if the sin is wilful and continued. One born of God cannot engage in willful sin."
That's bullshit! How many christians do we all know who fall into willful sin sin? He makes it sound as if once you are truly in christ, no sin will be willful or practiced. Baloney!
Anyway, back to MegaBastards thought,
Many many here on JWD have become non-believers and deny christ was the real deal. I myself am one who has become a doubter of the bible and much of it's contents. I don't think there are too many here who if christ were to appear to them face to face and told them he loved them and not to worry...........that any would deny him. Question him, but not deny him.
