Hah, "disturbing information" is basically that some people in the organization are not doing everything the WTS says... *gasp* could it be?!?!
So, bethelites are "well trained" in cleaning and food preparation? Really, how much training is required to learn to be a janitor? I mean, once you master the "getting under the lid" technique, there can't be all that much left to learn.
"Preparing them for the real world."
"...old brother...doesn't enforce his own rules."
"...divine education?" ah, it was mentioned twice.
What's this with the 50's? Which and how many of those Elders lived in the 50's?
I'm doing my best to read what went on. Thanks again.

Why doesn't someone just start a new thread under their own nick titled, "Elder School Notes Part 3," and then Sir82 can post right below it?
Thanks for the offer, but I've got to get some work done too!
I post the info before I start work, & on lunch break. It takes a while for these old fat fingers to find the right keys!
Jourles: Good idea! Done and done.
sir82: No worries, I understand needing to work (I just don't understand giving in to the compulsion ) post tomorrow. We'll make as many threads as you need.

"Following the guidelines in this book promotes peace and unity among the body of elders"
OD book is of more value than the Bible?????
The WT index is more valuable than the Bible????
I wonder how that had peace in the first century congregations without either the OD book or the WT index?

I think that if a person persistently viewed porn and after much help has been offered to assist such a one, the person could be charged with "loose conduct" , all acts reflecting a brazen attitude. Typically, the Watchtower uses "loose conduct" in connection with sexual matters. I doubt they will say it is "porneia".

It is "porneia" if masturbation was involved with chatroom sex, of course that is a step beyond porn. This was brought out back in 2000, I believe.
