Whoa. So can you get better than 20-20 vision with the artificial lens? Can you get a zoom feature or UV vision or anything?

That's amazing!
Methinks I'd want it removed, rather than just floating around in there.
I had worn glasses and contacts most of my life until I got them lasered three years ago. I'm not particularly squeamish about these things.
I take it that it's a fixed lens?
Wow! Very interesting, Elsie.

Eye Eye Eye! These closeups of your eye remind me of the alien in "It Came From Outer Space"! --VM44
oh elsewhere that is seriously cool!
I mean not cool that it happened but I had no idea they could do this sort of stuff. I prepared myself to feel a little squeamish when viewing the pics but I was fascinated instead!
Hope it has the desired outcome!!!
Elsewhere, with my older computer it will take 3 years to download your eyeballs.
So I will just say congratulations!
Elsy, looks like the "eyes" have it!

So, Else, who you been ogling lately? Hmm? Some pop-star or porn site?
Ewwwww....Else, I sure hope that leftover piece comes out on it's own. I can't imagine anything, or anyone poking around my eyeball.....gives me a shiver thinking about it. |
I fixed my eye!!!
Over the last few days I started to notice that when I moved my eye up and then back down quickly the little piece of lens would move up and then float back down. After playing with it awhile I started to figure out how I needed to move my eye to get the little piece to go where I wanted it. Eventually I figured out what I needed to do: I laid down on my bed with my head hanging over the edge and let my head hang down. With my head "up side down" like this I took a flashlight and a hand mirror and confirmed that the little piece moved "up" to the top of my iris (it was actually floating down because my head was upside down). With it like that I moved my head back up and watched in the mirror as the little piece slid down the surface of my artificial lens and went on down behind my iris!
It is now completely hidden behind my iris and back where it was before. All I have to do now is wait for the dilating eye drops to wear off and I'll be back to normal!
