Smokey, believe me when I say, many have shared your pain. In the course of my life I did things differently even as a young JW. My wife always says, I'm not the normal
I don't let people control my life and because of that, I have come to accomplish many goals. One of the things you need to make yourself understand and that is, 'believe' in yourself. As a professional golf teacher, I teach people to teach themselves. Yes, believe in yourself, learn to have fun. It may be difficult at first but stay with it, don't quit!
Set small goals and achieve them. The more you do over a given period of time the easier it gets, believe me. Make it a point to enjoy the cruise. Just try it.

This may be part of the problem, my dad was and still is very strict elder, so needless to say my childhood wasnt really full of fun and excitement either, i have been a fader for bout 3 years now, and let me tell you the world out there is a wonderful place, sure its hard when you first leave but hell its worth it.Not that i really want to rec going on anti depressants but have you spoken to your doc bout this? This may help short term, they def helped me along the way.
