The more your eyes are opened up the more you see reality, the "truth". The real truth is mortally damaging to a JW. The Society wants to "protect" young one's minds from being infiltrated from the worlds view of thinking. When anyone in the CULT gets exposed to the BULLoni of the Watchtower, it's easy to say, "see ya!"

the GB is shooting themselves in the foot by driving out the smart ones.
Every hear anyone ask why only marginally smart people or even down right dumb people get involved in politics? It's because the really smart people go into the business world where they can make more money, work less, not be in the constant eye of the public or not have their past paraded in front of everyone everytime they make a move.
That's what is starting to happen with the WTS. The really smart ones are making similar decisions. They're getting an education, getting decent jobs, raising a family. The stress and pressure put on them from not only the traveling CO or DO but also from the petty crap of the congregation is making them realize that they don't need all that work. They can find an easier way. The not-so-smart ones are what's left to keep the congregations going. Quality and quanitity will suffer.

I just wonder if this was to happen what the reaction of the congregation would be? Personally I think they would decide that its a sorting work and accept it as normal... sigh.

I read a very long article by a New York City Public School teacher who asserted that basic school curriculum (k-12) is actually being dumbed down on purpose. Not because people are being born dumber, but because a less educated workforce is a much easier to control workforce. Therefore, what used to be standard reading 100 years ago for the average High school student (classical education, etc) is no longer used, but has been replaced with so called "practical" education. Keep the ideas away from the minds of the masses, and they will slowly be content with their lot in life. Combine this with the mind deadening effects of stuff like TV, and it makes it easier to keep everybody lethargic and pliable.
