Did you get rid of most or all of your JW books and magazines?

If you didn't, what did you keep, and why?

I got rid of my duplicates and underlined copies. Stored the ones I have on my WT-CD. Kept the older ones such as the Studies in the Scriptures, and the rainbow books of Rutherford. I do a lot of research and believe in "hanging them with their own words."

Tossed out all except for my Bible and the Concordance. Why? Just can't throw out a Bible. I saved the Concordance to find verses I've forgotten. Juni~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have a large print brown nwt, a light green book, the paradise lost book, the my bible stories book, the new red book geared for children, and a navy book with red edged pages. I keep these books in my garage. I may get rid of them one day. Any watchtower or awake mags that I receive are promptly ripped up. Oh and I have a tape that I found in a newspaper rack at Krogers.

Thru out EVERYTHING with mixture of disgust and glee. Saved 1 copy of NT to add to bible collection.

Sold anything that would bring at least a dollar on ebay... kept the NWT (why, I don't know)... BURNED the rest last Christmas eve... only took me 15 years.

Every rag that I find of theirs, I throw away. Funny, all I ever see is in the Spanish language now.

Oh, and I've got "Life Everlasting in Freedom of the Sons of God", written in 1966 that shows they predicted 1975 as Armageddon.

I kept my bible for the simple reason it's what my older brother travelled 350 miles to bring me (he's now out of the borg), it's more a symbol of a brothers love

Okay, why are my posts always highlighted?

I sold a couple of valuable books on ebay last year. Faith On The March and a 1910 Bible Students Convention book. Got over $400.00 for them. All the underlined books went to the garbage and all the others went to Goodwill.

But now after the fact........I got rid of a lot of Rutherford books and didn't know the significance of them in exposing the double talk by the WT. I also gave bound volumes from 1960 or so to 1990 something and an unused copy of each magazine that were collected for decades to Goodwill and the garbage can.

After being on this forum for over a year, I wish I would have waited to dump everything. There have been requests by some for the "first" printing of a mag that had been changed for the bound volume. I didn't have a clue! And neither does the average JW.

edited to say......I forgot that I kept some of my NWT bibles and the Insight books. I think there are a couple unused books in one of my cupboards too.
