I want to know why you would throw books out?

i can understand wanting to throw out or destroy wt/jw stuff as theraputic, however directing past lit to someone collecting the stuff fo purposes "hanging them with ther own words" would ensure this stuff doesn't disappear. i'll bet that someone paying $400.00 for old jw stuff probably is a member trying to sweep the stuff under a rug....... telltruth

Why not? Tell me why I should keep something that I dont want? Actually I keep my jw books in my cold cold garage, but they are moving closer to a bonfire, burn baby burn!

Every one of them. Straight to the recycling center. Now I wish I had either burned them!

At first I threw out everything but the bible. Then I realized I'll never open it again and I don't really have any interest in it, so I tossed that as well.
I was just talking about this with my brother the other day, I noticed he has his AID book, bible a couple of song books and something else. I asked him why. He said he doesn't harbor the ill feelings I do so he keeps them. I don't really harbor ill feelings (as I told him too), but I don't have any sentiment towards it nor interest in it. But he says he still gets that music in his head and then looks up the words! Thats a bit too much for me.
So no, don't have any, don't want any, glad to get rid of it.

I still have all mine, and there is a lot, but I have boxed some up, and am gradually working my way through the rest. I will probably burn it all eventually.

I don't want them at all... Too many bad memories. My Christmas present to myself this year is to go through and get rid of anything.
However I think my mother has original mags from the 70's onwards. I really would love to show her where they have changed from the original publication to the bound volumes...

Never accumulated any to begin with. My mother used to send copies of JW crap to my family even though we had no interest. They only lasted until the next scheduled municipal garbage pick up. Now, mind you I never went out of my way to get the yellow journalism out of my home, but then I didn't want to rap the dead fish with then for fear of tainting good food.
