To be studied on Febuary 5th. Blondie will do her usual "COMMENT" later. I just want to point out how they start the 2006 study article, the first paragraph only.

A YOUNG man wanted to be more useful in his congregation. The problem was that his secular work interfered with his regular meeting attendance. How did he address the situation? He simplified his life, resigned from his job, and in time found employment that did not interfere with his Christian activities. Today, he earn much less than before, but he still cares for his family's needs and is much better able to support the congregation.

They are at it again! Quit your job, accept less $$$$$$$, but give what you got left to the congregation / Society and whatever is left over, take care of your family too. Now, of course the Society is saying that this young man did all this on his own , no arm twisting here.

Nice way to start the rank and file off in 2006 Watchtower. ( there is more about not being anxious about everyday concerns and putting the Society / kingdom first. ) Blondie does a much more thorough job when its time to study this whole article.

They know that they are losing big time so they will continue to beat down the ever so dwindling members that are still in.

I always was under the impression that microphone handlers and literature counter helpers were only needed on Sunday morning/afternoon and Thursday nights.

More lies and b.s. from the society, you and I both know, no one is going to quit a good job just to be at another boring meeting and to be able to handle the microphones, count magazines, or attendance figures in the congregation if they did they are dumber than a pile of cow manure (imho).

So, if an unexpected expense came up, say his car broke down, he (or one of his children) suddenly becomes ill, or his home needs major repairs...Wouldn't he have to work LONGER hours to make the money needed for the unexpected expenses?

Where is the logic in earning much less??? Especially if he is the head of a family??? Will not his decision to "earn much less" prevent him from caring well for his family's needs? (and miss quite a few senseless "meetings" from having to work over time.) The Bible says "He who does not provide for those who are members of his household is worse than a man without faith."

The idiots in Brooklyn, who churn up these stupid, hypnotic, senseless crap would rather have a young man --or woman--slave for them while neglecting his/her family. WHat a bunch of non-sense.

Wake up people who still go to these meetings.. you are being used to further a publishig and real estate monster.

What is this? A fairy story where the main character has a scary bit in the middle but it all works out better than before and in the end they all live happily ever after?

Did this young man really exist or did they just make him up? How do we know hes not just a product of a wishful thinking imaginiation. Cos in my area if you give up a well paid job you really struggle to find anything else. Also statistics show that most people who get hired already have jobs. If you step off the job market its not so easy to get back on. First of all your reference is old, second they want to know why you are not working, what you have been doing, why you quit your job, are you likely to do it again, does this show you are a reliable employee?

What a load of damaging crap they peddle.

Its not true. It is a make believe story. They constantly spew out these exaggerated tales or make them up completely all in order to make the rank & file members feel even more unworthy.

I wish they could have sweet revenge metered out to them.

The Society should become victims of their own success. When the contributions and donations start to dwindle, the valid excuse of the rank and file should be: "Hey, I got a lower paying job to simplify my life and attend all the meetings. I only have enough to support my family. Why don't YOU guys simplify YOUR lives?"
