in the Gospels, Jesus said that he would appoint the FDS upon his arrival.
The reinterpretation of the Sheep and Goats parable, put jesus arrival and Judgement at some time future.
So the FDS cannot have been appointed yet.
The WTS invented an argument that Christ "arrives" in more than one sense at different times to explain this away, but there are no scriptures that state this explicitly.
According to St Paul Christ comes once concerning Sin, and then a judgement. (what is the scripture??)

What moronic things was the WT teaching during this time of inspection and selection? Pyramidology for one.
If you listed all the things they believed and practiced at that time, you'd see these beliefs have been abandoned today.....so it makes you wonder HOW they were in anyway cleansed in 1919, and WHY god would choose a group who if they believed today as they did then......would be cast off by god and considered no different than christendom hence a part of Babylon the Great Whore Harlot. ................*gets a woody ever time he says that* Gumby
At jwfacts.com there are pages of teachings that have changed, along with original quotes. www.wikipedia.org (online encyclopedia) also has a list.
The majority of discarded teachings were not changed by Rutherford until after his failed 1925 prophecy. There were over 20 wrong dates including 1799 1874 and 1914 that were not changed until the 1930's.
The 1919 concept is clearly flawed (apart from there being no logical reason to come up with such a year). On one hand the F&D slave has been faithfully feeding the sheep for 1900 years since Jesus time (even though not one group has been found that teach what JWs teach), on the other hand they were steeped in paganism. On the one hand Jesus appointed them over all his belongings in 1919 and cleansed them then, on the other hand they continued promoting the false teaching until the 1930's.
Yeah JWFacts.....what a triuphphal ride the newly appointed king had eh? He shows up on his white horse and cleans the temple and makes way for his rulership to be carried out by the bible students, only to allow craploads of erronius doctrine to be practiced and taught. Not much of a kingly entrance was it? Their lamps were plumb full of bad oil when they met the bridegroom ...yet they claim it was burnable.

Hamster,
Your exactly right of course. The only thing I would add is that there is no suggestion that the parable was really about an 'appointment' of a person or an organisation. It reads more like a rhetorical question, followed by a general statement about the good being rewarded and the evil punished.
