Back in 1990, I brought my aunt to the District assembly at the olympic stadium in Montreal. I told her to sit with us, but she didn't want to. She wanted to sit with a sister her age in another part of the stadium. I told her to meet me at a certain (pre determined) place when the Assembly would be over, so that I don't have to look for her in that huge stadium. So when the assembly was over at 4h30pm, she didn't show up where I told her to be. I waited another 30 minutes, and she never showed up, so I got tired and I left without her and drove 80 miles back home. She must have been 70 years old back then.
Finally, a brother who lives in my town had to bring her back home. But this brother wasn't supposed to drive back here for 4 days, since he took a hotel room in Montreal with his family. He made that detour just for her.
Was I mean? or was she asking for it? It's hard enough to drive someone there, drop them off at the door, park 1km further, and the only thing I asked her was to sit with me so that I wouldn't have to find her in a croud of 30,000 poeple... In a way I was firm, and it's too bad for her.
