Oh guys I love all your trees! How much fun is it. I felt like a rebel while I was putting it up.

Cordelia get yourself a little tree. Really do it. On a pyschological level you have to show to yourself that you are not bowing to the WTBTS standards. I understand the family issue, if you have a little tree you can quickly move it. Like to the linen closet or something.. Do it darl!

    Richie... please explain?

Wow such beautiful trees. I love to see all the different ways they get decorated.

Here's mine. It's all decorated with white, blue, silver and glass ornaments. I had to give away so many ornaments this year. The tree is full all the way around.

Oh if only I had seen Lady Lee's link BEFORE i decorated my tree!

Order of Placing Decorations - Place decorations in this order: 1. lights, 2. garland, 3. decorations.

Yes it was very complicated putting on the lights AFTER the decorations...

Inside, Outside - Arrange lights 'inside' your tree (about halfway from the tips of the branches to the trunk of the tree) as well as on the perimeter of the tree.

I didn't do this and my boyfriend explained that I needed them on the inside. As you mentioned. So off came the lights and they had to go on all over again.

Hanging Loops - To create a consistent look on your tree, try replacing string or wire ornament hanging loops with uniform loops. These can easily be made of wire, raffia, satin ribbon, gold cording, twine, or fabric strips. This is a good project to do while watching a good movie.

Arrrghhhh.... After having to string all those little balls for a tiresome two hours this will NEVER be a good project for me! LOL

    Whats a garland?

If you look at my tree you will see a garland. They look like sparkly ropes. You can see a white one and a silver one near the bottom of my tree. You don't need one on your tree. In fact your tree is beautuful just the way it is. Now you have me thinking to take mine off the tree..

I was wondering....do you guys have a tip to make the tree stand verticaly and not do it's crooked thing? Mine was straight when I put it up, but now it's bending a bit. (plastic tree, by the way.lol)

I didn't get a chance to take a picture last night.. I'll try again tonight..

I am curious about tinsel. I remember my grandmother having it on her tree when I was little but when I have tried to put some on, I must be doing something wrong, because it just looked messy.. so I took it off. Any tips? I might try next year
