Jw-dom: The only place you will find that the "Prince of princes" (Jehovah) outranks the "King of kings" (Jesus).

It would be a fun exercise to use the same logic used to "prove" that Jehovah is "Prince of princes" on the text in Revelation where Jesus is explicitly referrred to as "King of kings", and then see how the JW would try to squirm out of that one.

At times some people ask "If a JW comes to my door, what do I ask him?" I think the above would be quite fun.

22 What was the experience of Jehovah’s Witnesses during World War II? They suffered intense persecution! It started in Nazi and Fascist countries. But soon ‘truth was being thrown to the earth’ throughout the vast domain of the ‘small horn whose power had become mighty.’ “The army” of Kingdom proclaimers and their work of preaching “the good news” were banned in almost all of the British Commonwealth. (Mark 13:10) When these nations conscripted their manpower, they refused to grant ministerial exemption to Jehovah’s Witnesses, showing no respect for their theocratic appointment as ministers of God. Mob violence and various indignities were experienced by Jehovah’s faithful servants in the United States. The seventh world power, in effect, tried to take away a sacrifice of praise—“the fruit of lips”—regularly offered to Jehovah by his people as “the constant feature” of their worship. (Hebrews 13:15) That world power thus committed the “transgression” of invading the rightful domain of the Most High God—“the established place of his sanctuary

Its interesting how the witnesses use Mark 13:10 above.

Lets see what it says in the King James

    13:9
But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
    13:10
And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
    13:11
But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
If I read this correctly it says the words spoken are from the Holy Ghost.Well if its from the Holy ghost then it surely can't be an active force. The last time I checked forces don't speak.Oh by the way notice how I'm starting to use the kingdom language notice the usage of the word surely.
Its funny too how witnesses are always talking about being persecuted during W W II.
They make it seem as if they were the only ones put to death. How many witnesses actually lost their lives then?I've read no more than a hundred.
Let us compare that to the number of jews killed.(There I go with the language again lol)
Lets see 6,000,000 Jews 100 JWs.
Yep the JW's sure were persecuted.
In my humble opinion the J-dubs were for the most part cowards. They wanted all the freedoms but weren't willing to sacrifice so they invent some theology to keep them from serving.
It the same with everthing they teach.
Go to school to get a higher education=forsaking your Godly duties
Well I guess the doctors in this country decided against college because we wouldn't want to be labeled prideful or as the witnesses like to say haughty.Where do they come up with these phrases?

    Wow,

the more I read this thread the more amazed how duped JW's are.I'm constantly reading about how Jdubs arenn't prideful but when you really take a good look at them ,they are nothing but prideful and arrogant.

As far as the 144,000,they have it all wrong.

the texts clearly state that these would be 12,000 each from the twelve tribes of Israel and these would be male virgins having known no woman.Furthermore these would be given to preaching the word through out the world.

The J -dubs also forget to include the tow witnesses who are killed then resurrected 3 days later.

What I do find interesting about it is that they seem to be the only religion that tries to make sense out of all that . Sure it's all dogma and believing it as fact is not a requirement but they will make it one .LOL I think if that last horn was Rome then it is more than likely talking about Rome in the first century when they shared in persecuting the church and crushed pure worship and even helping in killing the messiah . Funny thing is that I did read all that before but can remember very little of it .

I'm thinking about going to the next convention the JW's have and partake of the emblems .I want to see the reaction when I do so.I mean who are they to say I'm not annointed? Why do they call it partaking of the emblem when in scripture its commonly referred to as being in communion or taking communion?Another thing that bothers me is if this act is for only the so-called annointed then the desciples of Christ got it all wrong and for that matter so did Christ. The Dubs also attend a memorial, well the last I checked memorials are in remembrance of those who are dead,so you see we have anpther problem because the Dubs teach that Christ has been reigning since,1874,oops I mean 1914,or was that 1925.?

Well you can see where the problems begin to arise.

Interesting that it mentions the re-writing of the Society's charter in 1944. Have any of you seen the scans of that charter on other websites, where it lists on of their objectives as "worshipping Jesus"? Something which is considered a disfellowshipping offense now in the organization.

    News Flash,

Some how an elder from my fiances last congregation found out where she lives and paid her a visit today. She's tripping because she was disfellowshipped about 10 years ago.I have a feeling her mother is the one who dropped the dime and asked them to visit. Her parents have some serious issues too. They're constantly making remarks about how spoiled i am and keep thinking my parents are rich.lol

    atypical,

If they began to worship Jesus as they should they would have to change the name of the org .

By the way why in the world do they refer to their place of worship as Kingdom Halls ?Scripture clearly states that it is churches that we go to for worship.
