I used to be so into prophecy and actually loved the Climax book when it first came out. Now, I can't believe I bought into that BS. Anyhow, name a ridiculous Climax book interpretation. I'll start off.............

Seven trumpet blasts = obscure, poorly attended witness conventions in 1922..........

    *** re chap. 22 p. 146 The First Woe—Locusts ***

    16

This preaching involves more than the spoken word! " Also, they have tails and stings like scorpions; and in their tails is their authority to hurt the men five months." (Revelation 9:10)

What could this mean? As they go about their Kingdom work, Jehovah’s Witnesses leave behind them publications—books, magazines, brochures, timely tracts. These contain authoritative statements, based on God’s Word, for the people to read in their homes, and they have a scorpionlike sting because they warn of Jehovah’s approaching day of vengeance. Before the present generation of spiritual locusts lives out its life span, its divinely ordained work of declaring Jehovah’s judgments will be completed—to the hurt of all stiff-necked blasphemers.

Another thing about those trumpet blasts. The interpretation that they gave puts them in the wrong order. According to the Society this is the order of the trumpets:

    1914 - seventh trumpet

    1919 - fifth trumpet

1922 - first, second, third, fourth and sixth

    LDH,

Same here. It's humiliating to think that I actually believed that stuff at one time. The memory keeps me from getting too dogmatic now. Who knows what silly beliefs I'm still holding on to?

It's funny. I threw out every one of my WT publications with one exception...the Climax book. It's just sooooo bad I had to save it.

I recall how sickening it was when I first read it. And it had the gall in the beginning to discuss in a cameo box how carefully interpretations are done and "do not interpretations belong to God?"

BAxk to the 21 and 22 chapter of the climax book. the idea that jesus is the fifth angel to fall from heaven . and jesus is also the abaddon the fallen angel of the abyss (satan) is a real joke. rev 9 any one thyat does a littke research on abaddon will clearly see ABADDON IS SATAN. JOHN

"12 signifies a divinely constuituted organisation whether in the heavens or on the earth."

oh, and whadda ya know, "24 signifies Jehovahs abundant organisational arrangement... DOUBLED".. oh joy of joys...

    (Revelation Climax, page 19, box)

How can there be two mriads of myriads of this cavalry? A myriad is literally 10,000. So, two myriads of myriads would come to 200 million.* footnote: Commentary on Revelation by Henry Barclay Swete, notes regarding the number "two myriads of myriads": "These vast numbers forbid us to seek a litteral fulfillment, and the description which follows supports this conclusion."

Oh but 144,000 is such a small number that it must be literal (Revelation Climax, page 151, para. 10)
