Excellent comparison. Funny thing is though, if you tried reasoning with a Witness that way, they'd still automatically say "...that's apostate reasoning!"

So you've met my mother then? Seriously, the only way to unpick the most tightly knotted JW psyche is with patience, tact and more patience. If after many years this still has no effect then it is quite natural to explode in a demonic outburst of uncontrolled apostate fury. . . . .
