Doing accounting and paper work is something different from handling confidential letters. Some congregations are wise enough to let women having accountant education etc. do the math in stead of dyslectics. At other places, the light hasn't been seen yet.

When I lived at home, my father was the Accounts Servant. On occasion, he would have me type up letters pertaining to the congregation accounts. Once, when he wasn't the Accounts Servant he was asked to perform an audit of the congregation account. *That* was an interesting letter to the Body of Elders. I'm sure the reason he asked me to do it was because he didn't know how to type worth a damn.
