How were ‘those days cut short’ so that “flesh” could be saved in the first century, and how will it occur on a larger scale? (Matthew 24:22)

In 66 C.E., the Romans unexpectedly cut short their siege on

Chasing a dead end...ah well, I guess I just never noticed when it went down hill before.

Thank you for the information Blues. The more I fade the slower my information comes. I can see why this board is so important to so many.

If you have the time can you post the U.S. numbers? You know the number baptized, the average and peak pubs., # of congs., and stuff like that.

My god that is pretty dismal!

Keep in mind that there are no figures published on those that go inactive/ irregular. With that in mind that 1.3% is probably more in the negative range.

Is someone able to post the last 10 years or so annual report %'s so we can see the overall trend. Where can that info be found? Freeminds?

I think there is a trend of a small dip followed by a small rise but in the long-term their is definitely a sinking lid. It should be simple enough to do a graph that will show when 0 growth should be reached?

Each year it seems about the same number of new ones come in, ie, about 300,000 or so, but this is getting to be a proportionately smaller and smaller fraction of the overal total each year.

I used to pay great attention to the number of partakers. I used to keep hoping for the number to dip lower and lower so armageddon would come and I wouldn't have to wait any longer. Until I started psychology I didnt understand how they could not be the truth with the anointed so sure of their hope.

Too bad you can only leave once. I'd love to have more of an impact on the decline. Oh well I know of at least one other that I at least was partially responsible for pulling out. Several more to follow I hope.

When they reach no growth worldwide I wonder if they will start to try and spin it that everyone has been gathered and the end will come soon..Otherwise how do you explain a great gathering work and need for missionaries with no growth...people gasp leaving?!

I know for a fact the english language congregations are showing no increase in Britain, I personally feel the vast majority of ACTUAL new ones that is not young ones baptised are from the foreign language fields, and most of those because who wouldn't want to move to a new country and be immediately swallowed up by lovely friendly people??? My sister pioneers in the Albanian congregation and they have people flooding in.

I found this statistic interesting.. 652 more AVERAGE pubs, yet we had 2435 baptised... seems like at least 3 times as many people left as joined?? Overall hours were down, as were bible studies and memorial attendance.. something fishy in those numbers doesn't anybody else think!!

Something is always fishy when it is JWs publishing the information. Hey can anyone graph memorial partakers over the last 20 years or so? I think that'd be interesting to see.
