Yes, this article did it for me too. It was only 6 months later in field service that it really hit me: this preaching thing is useless! That was it. I began a year-long fade then DA'd in 1998.
I'm afraid I was suckered, having heard the District Convention item, and then walked into the Wt study with my eyes wide shut. It would be over another five years before my eyes were opened.
