Yes I have. To answer your question I do not know why. But I think it is because alot of the things we think Jesus said he did not Thomas account is not in agreement with the bible so we have the Chruch which tried to have it destoryed during the dark ages. Over 82% if the sayings attributed to Jesus actually is not his at all this is not even doubted by any bible scholar that I have read. So we have a Bible that is not accurate. So much evidence is out there now I do not know why we still have the old un-true version of the bible.

I personally have no faith in the Da Vinci code by the evidence the book gives. The information that is being found today by the Scholars is not mentioned in the Da Vinci code. If the Code would of had some of the real facts I would believe the book had some merit.

I first heard of the gospel of thomas through the movie Stigmata!

Me too! I mean, that is the Gospel that they`re reading from in that movie, at the end, isn`t it? ("turn over a stone, and I`ll be there" etc etc). But in the movie, this Gospel is referred to as Jesus own Gospel, that he wrote it himself (if my memory serves me right), and that was kind of lame. Great movie, though.

    >Its all been said before year after year for God knows how long. I remember all this 30 years ago it is nothing new. It goes it the pile along with Da Vinci Code etc

Let me add to that etc: Jehovah Unmasked, Holy Blood:Holy Grail and any other wacko book that is born of Gnosticism.

What are you talking about. This has nothing to do with Gnosticism unless you say the truth is Gnostic. I think you need to open your mind with some real reaseach.

They may be protecting or they may be trying to prove something for their own self gain. Most of the posters here are fimiliar with WTBS quoting and/or misrepresenting references for their self gain.

skyman, it is sometimes exciting to uncover secrets and conspiracies. Unfortuantely we must be cautious about expose's and sensationalized theories. I am not a Christian. In fact as I've many times discussed the possibility that the Jesus figure is an amalgum of OT and godman motifs. However the 'Bible Fraud' is not worthy of your attention or recomendation. It's a classic example of junk scholarship. Its great that the book stimulated interest in the subject and may have turned you on to some of the problems with Bible literalism, but the book makes many silly assertions and sadly brings the research of Christian origins into bad repute.
