Ha! This one made me think of all those in the hall who have magazines piled up in their living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms with no where to go:
KM: DEC. 2005: Make Wise Use of Our Bible-based Literature
...if we have a large number of unplaced magazines, it would be appropriate to reduce the number that we request. (That's it? Still doesn't solve my over-piling magazine basket!)
...Publishers can offer older publications to unbelieveing family members, Bible students, and others. Those who are newly associated with the congregation may appreciate having these older publications for their personal theocratic library. (If I was a newcomer I'd be thinking: "Why I gotta be the one to have the leftovers?"
...Just as Jesus did not waste leftover food after he miraculously fed the crowds, our goal should be to make the best use of the valuable Bible-based literature that is provided. (John 6: 11-13)
So Jesus took the loaves and, after giving thanks, he distributed them to those reclining, likewise also as much of the small fishes as they wanted. 12 But when they had their fill he said to his disciples: “Gather together the fragments that remain over, so that nothing is wasted.” 13 Therefore they gathered them together, and they filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves, which were left over by those who had eaten. I have never seen a scripure so blatanly misused. One sister even made the comment: "And in this scripture we see this was just plain ol' bread so how much more so we shold cherish our spiritual food. So in conclusion:
Sorry mom! Those over-piled WT magazines will have to stay in the garage!!
