    It reminds me of all those brain dead dubs rising up to sing their stupid songs boasting about their silly achievements, and the fake enthousiasm that they tried to inspire. In a totalitarian context music and culture don't have any meaning.

    One Kingdom Song strongly resembles the Russian national anthem

    I guess most classical tunes which stand/stood in the background are in public domain

    I think many of the king-dumb looney tunes are plagiarized from other sources, perhaps old musicals from the 1850s? Nevertheless, their music is so utterly crappy and maudlin, its hard to imagine they would have to steal from somebody else to create such "not fit for elevators" junk.

    rebel8,

    The other day I was looking through some old posts made here by the Guardian reporter Stephen Bates, and smiled when he wrote in thread WTS supports The Guardian:

    Incidentally, the PR at the Watchtower never did respond to my letter to him, or to the suggestion that they were in breach of copyright for lifting Guardian words without payment....

    <lol>

    was in a Barnes & Noble once when the background music they were playing filtered through my consciousness, and for a brief terrifying moment, I thought that they were playing kingdom melodies. But when I listened more carefully, I realized that it was very close, but off by a few bars.

    Man, I swear I will hear some classical piece once in a while and certain notes wouold sound just like hte Kingdom Melodies. Thought I was the only one to notice this.

    What's up with those melodies anyway? I mean really, look how the Society makes u sthink that its wrong to listen to gospel music, how they get up and dance and praise God. Whatever! At least you don't feel like you wanna gag while singing:

    "We are Jehovah's Wittnesses/we speak out in fearlessness/ours is the God of true prohecy/what he fortell comes to be/

    Oh God, excuse me its coming out in chunks!

    You should really consider using the Kingdom Melodies as background music when you're walking down the runway in your show. I'm sure it would be a big hit!!
