To ansewr peaches question: Modeling is definetly something I see as a career. I know it would hurt my mom so much to see her only daughter mixing in Satan's system in such a way but its want I've wanted to do for a long time. Of course, I will take it as far as I can but if it never turns into anything well then so be it.

And Gretchen! You must give me pointers! Man, I hope my pits don't sweat through the clothes!

And yes, at everyone's request of course I will share pics! I suppose I can blur my face out a little with a little digital retouching.

Looks like you're going to be following in Naomi Campbell's footsteps, literally! You know her mother was/is a Jehovah's Witness. When you become a super model, don't forget about us!

YOU GO GIRL!!!, when I was in my late teens, I was approached by a talent scout and had the opportunity of becoming a petite model, but of course I thought about it and said no (damn) because I was a JW and there were so many temptations, of course these were my moms words. Well I wish now I would have taken advantage of that opportunity. So I'm glad you are going for it, enjoy it, I wish you much success!!!

Of course not MsMcducket! Ah yes, I know Naomi's story. She once said in an interview that her mother still sends her the latest WT and Awake magazines to read.

And reaching her status? The odds are very slim-but I will take it as far as I can

Hey IC! I know how you feel! At 17 I was approached by a scout too but my mom was with me and she practically yelled at them to go away. Very embaressing!

To this day, everytime we are watching a runway show or see a famous model on TV she starts rambling on: 'satan's system, look at them, half naked, i bet most of them are prostitutes..' blah blah blah

I think becoming inactive is one thing; but to become a model! Mama, won't be happy.

I'm very glad your resisting being squeezed into someone else's mold of how to live. Whats right for your mother doesn't have to be right for you.

Modesty is an attitude not a clothing style!

Be prepared for the well meaning but small minded na-sayers.

I never thought about it that way Flash but you are right!

The way the WT drills us about modesty is all about how one's dressed and I used to always think to myself-why would God even care??? Always seemed so weird to me for God to nit-pick wether or not I'm wearing a midriff.
