One fine day, in the privacy of his own home with friends, Bob confides that he loves Sue dearly, but is so frustrated with the legal intervening.
The lawyers catch wind of Bob's flippant remarks and so casually invite him to 'share' his views with a few litigators.
What could be the harm? "After all, we all love Sue so much." Bob reasons.
Their meeting begins with a bit of non-threatening banter. This puts Bob at ease, plus sensing their concern for him, Bob trustingly concedes that perhaps it would be better if he could deal directly with Sue.
Immediately this casual conversation turns quite serious as one of the lawyers sternly asks:
"So Bob, are you saying that you don't believe that we lawyers speak for Sue?"
Bob's own hesitation leads to his demise, "Well, honestly I'm just not so sure!"
"Enough said!", retorted another lawyer. "We will discuss this with you later."
Poor Bob, what a sucker - goes home thinking that he was just being honest!
The next day, he suddenly finds that the lawyers have informed him that Sue is VERY disappointed, and now hates him.
In fact, everyone that loves Sue now hates him!
