I had an aunt who used the flip side of this one often. Every time she was successful in her conniving machinations (which was often, she was a tireless woman) she would say it was Jehovah's will, and how wonderful it was. She must have been high in his esteem, he certainly spent a lot of time on her.
Do you fall back to blaming the "Wicked Sytem of Things" for everything?

It's all a way for them to avoid individual responsibility for the negatives in their lives. Avoidance rather than confrontation like strong, healthy, normal adults.

It's easy to do, even for non-dubs - disdain for "the current system" has certainly been part of various sub-cultures
How much more so for those who acquire validation through mental separation - and for those who maintain an active excuse for not helping those in "the system".

Indeed, AP. In fact, that very separation widens thru the use of this sort of reasoning, doesn't it? The we/them mentality. Of course the opinion that soon it will all be destroyed in the big A makes any effort to aid in any realistic way just a wasted and blind foolishness.
I doubt anyone has an answer as to the reasons for so many of the things we see. But the old system is a tired reason with no legs.
