how do you mean? did you read that somewhere? i thought DNA most likely came from RNA, and that both are essentially just protien framework for data replication. it is agreed that viruses probably came from some symbiotic relationship with a larger host. so, viruses would be hard pressed to be called upon as the fathers of dna. that's like saying viruses are one of the earths first high level metabolic organisms, when many scientists don't even consider viruses as proper living organisms in the first place.

assuming they existed in the first place. genetics and anthropology show that humans came from a population of bipedal apes, not two single people. and longer than 5000 yrs ago too.
dna/genome is exactly what makes a human a human. so if adam and eve had no genome, they were not technically human. this is because every cell in the body contains a copy of the genome, aka dna. and humans are big clumps of cells. toe nail and liver cells among other types. so for them to be human, they would need dna. and if they were not, then we are not bound by "imperfection" since technically we were not related to them, and therefore we need not the ransom sacrifice or the paradise. this would make us perfect, right now, right here.
saying that a virus is somehow related to the FALL of man from perfection is a very extraordinary claim. we may have a lot of crap in our genomes, and even some other organisms dna hitching rides in ours because we have more storage space, chromosomally. but there is no relation between those non executing strands and what we know of death and other human "issues", that i am aware of.

assuming that there is a god, that we are imperfect and that there is an amargedon comming? still no. because then we would not be human anymore, like i said above. so, really, if jehovah just wanted angels, why did he make a paradise for humans. he's a moron anyways.

What would go in its place?

perhaps another computer program, though it's not a program in the true sense. maybe like a program in assembly, but still pushing it there.

how about, instead of these questions, we ask:

what does the nature of our genomes say about our past as homo.sapiens?
what implications does this have on our cherished worldviews?
does the nature of dna point to a blue print designer? or a computer programmer?
and if "we" are all the expressions of programs called genomes, then what does that make "god" (should one exist) other than a tiny little geek somewhere who executed his program and sat back and watched? or perhaps didn't watch? or perhaps didn't exist?

I agree, DNA must be a satanic instrument and jehoober will need to strip us of this biological imperfection in the new world. Look at all the happy shiny people frolicking in the new paradise in their spanking new outfits from the GAP! My theory is that jehoober will empty our bodies of all the sinful organs, including our genitalia. Likely, he will fill our bodies with sweet nectar, maybe papaya juice!! This will allow us to frolick happily with the tigers and lions in racial harmony, without our bodies having to worry about dna replication of proteins! It will be great!
