Stevenyc,
LT, the only problem I see is that by using biblegateway for your quotations, you can see they incorrectly place the comma in the wrong place for Luke 23 ! Just ask Mr Franz.
Here's a little something on the "," comma issue of Luke 23:43...
In the NWT: “truly I tell you today, …”
The comma is placed after the word “today”, not after “you” (as in all other translations) to keep the thief from being with Jesus in Paradise “today” (which would signify conscious existence after death).
The phrase, “Truly, I say to you”, in the Greek is amen soi lego and occurs 74 times in the Gospels. It is always used as an introductory expression. Jesus used it to introduce a truth that was very important. In 73 of 74 times, the NWT places a break (such as a comma) immediately after the phrase. Luke 23:43 is the only exception in the NWT (to support their doctrine).
hey why didn't Jesus end up in the library like me for bad association? Sooooooooo not fair lol Matt
(oh, gawd, this is turning into a serious thread )
Cheer up, LT - here's a little trinket I bought a couple of weeks ago. It's almost on topic, too...

mdb,
Thanks for that. Yep, your right. The JDubs have a history of misrepresentation. I was just having a little joke with LT. And, like he said, Today, tomorrow, whenever, it doesn't matter. 'with me in paradise' is all you need.

I'm always seeking forgiveness....
I'M SORRY I got caught...........
Snoozy Q...
But will Jesus forgive men for wearing tartan dresses? I think we'll have to wait and see on that one.
Only if they go commando...

INteresting that in John 8 he didn't tell her "O.k...you're forgiven, but we can't speak to you for a period of months until we feel that you're REALLY repentant."
I thought Jesus followed the law perfectly? If he followed it perfectly, why did he not share in the stoning of an adulterer? He said 'may he who sins not cast the first stone'..... but I would have told him the bull sacrafice already covered my sins for the week and so I'm gonna stone the nasty little whore cheatin biatch!!!!!!!!
