So I would assume it would put one in position of being disfellowshipped, or perhaps at least marked as 'unapproved associate'.

Well, Yahweh is not a false teaching, so probably can't do this....

Had the same discussion with a brother once, who liked to keep the sabbat day. Nobody could forbid him to do nothing on that day, but it was frowed upon very much. he was not allowed to tell about it's feelings though

It is a good question. It is accepted, by the WTS even, that Yahweh is the closer pronounciation, so if someone preferred to use it what are they going to say?

The WTS brags about teaching everyone God's name, but yet they've been marketing a mispronounciation themselves. What can they say to someone who decides to market the more scholarly accepted version of God's name?

Interesting. I have heard of some things similar to that going on. But if one used 'Yahweh' instead of Jehovah, wouldn't he be considered as not holding to the teaching of the organization - i.e.; 'telling his feelings about this' every time he opened his mouth?

They would for sure 'frown on it' - I just wonder if they would take it further in some congregations. I bet he could not do so at Bethel and keep his job.

I see nothing wrong with the JWs using Jehovah in english, but

in the GREEK truth book, they use IXOBA which has no history and

the actual accepted greek version from very near if not the first century is IOBE which is very close to YahVeh

which made me see JWs were not interested in keeping it historical as they claimed.
