Further proof the WTS ignores pointed scripture, particularly when it appears in the New Testament:

    Matthew 23:24
Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!

" ...would a Christian who is a self employed contractor bid on a job that involves painting one of the churches of Christendom and thereby

share in helping to promote false religion?" ; (pg. 24)

I can remember JW's using this logic when I was in. As someone who earns their livelihood by bidding on commercial construction projects, I can honestly say that if I refused to bid on church projects I would be on the job market looking for new employment.

The article says that false religion "has prostituted herself by forming alliances with one political power after another".

How can they get away with printing this crap after hooring the WBTS to the UN?

    UNBELIEVABLE!

Questioning the doctrine or breaking any of its rules is often severely punished by disfellowshiping (expulsion), which means this person must be shunned and ostracized by his/her own relatives and friends.

    Purpose

The purpose of this article is to determine whether the Watchtower Society (WT) owns shares of common stocks of armament-related industry and if positive, determine if they perform business transactions with the U.S. Department of Defense.

MsMcducket Skyman was all over this issue. You see the WT is a corporation and is not a witness since it never has been baptized. It can do anything, almost, except tell the truth. But since it is a corp. you can't do anything about that. This whole things just makes me think about Ezekiel 34. Was the WT ever the truth? I don't think so. The draw was so strong, we are the truth and we are the only ones on the earth faithfully serving God and we are the only ones who took on his name, blah, blah, blah. It is so good to be gone. uninformed

Remember that news story about a terrorist cell in Lodi, California? The mosque there used to be a Kingdom Hall as well.

In the years since, Shah has obtained visas for enough family members to fill 20 households. He co-founded Lodi's only mosque, a pale yellow former Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall of clapboard and stucco near a city park on the southeast side of town.

Give it a little while, then you'll KNOW it never was.

Uninformed, I never knew about it. I just looked it up after I read it in this thread. I thought that I'd post it for the other people like me (in the dark about the dubs). These people (the dubs) are really good CON MEN!

I recall elders saying they could sell the hall to another religion, or buy real estate from them. However, they would not rent to or from them because of "too much involvement".

On the Phillip-Morris issue, my wife was df after having a nervious breakdown and the mental hospital gave her cigs. when she didn-t even know her name. When she got out, an elder order her to quit cold turkey that day. She asked for 2 weeks, he refused and called her wicked and would be destroyed at armagadden if she wasn't reinstated when it came. She quit, got reinstated then never went back.
