The 411: The comeback firmly behind him, Prince turns in a solid offering with Planet Earth. While the music here is hardly revolutionary, the tight set is packed with classic Prince fuck and pop and the album seems to live in a time capsule of its own, sounding both retro and contemporary without pandering to modern popular production. Some great songs will keep this on the radio (“Guitar”, “The One U Wanna C”), even if there’s a bit too much filler to make this a classic. Still, the fact that Prince has put out three LISTENABLE albums in a row is the major accomplishment here. Final Score: 7.5 [ Good -

Is this just me or is a picture of a man with his shirt opened, under what looks like a bustier, an Eqyptian symbol around his neck, and looking Down on the earth as if he is in control,just a weeeeeee bit of a stretch for one who professes to be a Witness? Maybe this picture, along with the recent picture of Serena Williams in a scimpy bikini, could be foldouts of the new "insider's only" edition of the Watchtower magazine.

While it is true that this particular CD contains few tracks near the level of his true classics and that many will find the references to Jehovah...........In terms of Planet Earth itself, there are additional reasons for Prince's fans to appreciate the present and be optimistic about the future. While it is true that this particular CD contains few tracks near the level of his true classics and that many will find the references to Jehovah excruciating, there are indeed a few treats. received mixed reviews. On it, Prince is trying to offer commentary on the current political situation:
"Fifty years from now, what will they say about us here? Did we care for the water and the fragile atmosphere? There are only two kinds of folk, and the difference that they make the ones that give and the ones that take.... Imagine sending your first born off to fight a war with no good reason how it started or what they are fighting for. And if they're blessed to make it home, will they still be poor? Pray for peace now and forever more."
While not entirely successful, his efforts here should be applauded.
