  CYP: your method IS spot-on; that is brilliant.

  If it is brilliant it is because it is so darn obvious, and so darn simple.

  On the other hand, it is so difficult to keep it to such a narrow focus. It is just so natural for a jw, when someone confronts them with their jerky behavior, to hide behind their faith... and make it all about their faith.

  That is all their faith is for them. A big shield to hide from the big, bad world.

  Thanks for the verse. I know a real busy body that needs to read that one.

  These are not unrelated events.

  One of the great challenges for us in dealing with the self-deluded, is understanding that their obnoxious behavior is not rooted in any kind of confidence in their convictions. It is precisely a reaction the their life of quiet desperation, and nagging doubts. Maybe that realization can offer us some comfort when we deal with their maddening behavior.

  JW's are some of the biggest bluffers you will ever meet. They act like they have a royal flush, they don't even have a lousy pair of twos.
