My sorry ass JW hub used to do this to my baby. Starting at age 2 until I left him. In the past 3 weeks, she has been diagnosed with ADHD, rapid cycling bi polar disorder, and another impulsive-something I can't remember them all, DAMN!

Can you imagine trying to make a kid sit still through 2 hours of boring ass bull shit that has these problems? She was born with it, just never diagnosed. All those spankings. One time he left the perfect imprint of his hand on the side of her thigh, and it wasn't red, it was a black and blue hand print,

Yeah you might enjoy being spanked but its no good when your a tiny kid.

That's debatable. Spanking can be an effective form of disciplining, just as most forms can be "no good" if improperly implemented. I have nothing against parents who feel they don't need to spank their children, but I don't think anyone is qualified to mandate whether spanking is inappropriate for everyone. No discipline is supposed to be pleasurable, and the effectiveness of any form ultimately lies in the way the parent administers it.

I can remember being taken into the back room tons of times to get the stuffing beat out of me.

I can also remember my step mom and Elder dad showing off the large wooden paddle they used on us at the bookstudy we held in our home. It clearly bothered some of the people there, but do you think they said so? Oh heck no.

No one has the right to phycially abuse anyone--we're mixing terms here. This is akin to equating homosexuality with child molestation. Spaking and physically abusing someone are two different things.

I have no problem with spankings

I don't either, as long as it's handled properly for something pretty outrageous that the kid has done. Not being able to sit perfectly still for 2 hours at an incredibly boring meeting where they have no idea what's even going on is a lousy excuse for a spanking. I always thought that they should have had like a Sunday School for all the little kids at the Hall. Imagine how much more they would have enjoyed being there. Oh I forgot, Rutherford sucked the little bit of fun there ever was in this religion, out decades ago.

Yes! Just look at how high church attendance is!

Spanking is one thing, but babies don't need to be hit. When my son was 14 months, 14 f'in months, it was only proper for me to spank him. I couldn't do it. By then, I'd had enough of the bathroom visits, and I would just leave for home.

Ridiculous.Any homosexual ive ever known or been acquainted with has lived in peace and wouldnt hurt a fly.Nobody puts that hoary old chestnut about being gay/a child molester together unless totally stupid.

Speaking from a very real experience, being smacked around in the name of "discipline"from a ridiculously early age has resulted in so many negatives..that i wouldnt even know where to begin. But hey,the pasts the past. But if i ever saw someone "smacking"a child in public i would interfere and poke my nose in where its not wanted.

sweden has the right idea.Sue any bugger that hits you..parents or not.

So, you're saying that homosexuality and child molestation are different things that have been illegitimately linked in the past? Hmm, what else fits this description? As I said, discipline and abuse are two different things. Just guessing, I'd say that much more good has come from spanking than the bad parents who abuse it. It's one way to show a child that they sometimes must do things that are unpleasant and that there are consequences for bad behavior. No good parent likes to spank their children. In my view, no good person enjoys punishing anyone. But, I've spoken enough on the subject.
