I think people should video tape the birth. That way when the kid grows up and is evil they can watch it, make it go backwords and watch the kid go away!

How many children would want to see a childbirth? Maybe someone should tell them what it looks like

I am not having anymore children but if I were, I would definitely have let my 4 1/2 year old watch the birth. If the opportunity arises and a friend gives birth, I would let her be there.

I think it depends on the kid and the circumstances!!! My 8 yr old niece was traumatized for quite some time after seeing her sister born!!! I knew of a couple of other kids that helped their Mom as the 5th came out sooner than expected!!!

I believe in epidurals for the Mom...having had a child with and without drugs!!! That all natural birth stuff is baloney... It also doesn't help when the father passes out and he's supposed to be helping you through the breathing techniques!

Talk about costs - our son was born 10 week preemie - wife spent 16 weeks prior to the birth in hospital to prevent the birth....and then after early delivery our son spent 6 weeks in the neonatal ICU

Total cost -- over $1 Million Bucks ! Thank God or maybe Blue Cross for insurance !

When Alex was 6 he watched his sisters birth...you can hear him on the video tape right after the delivery saying..."Wow...just like poop through a goose !" LOL
