May a JW mail carrier deliver mail to a church?

We've already discussed the 3-15-06 WT about a self-employed contractor not being able to paint one of the churches of Christendom. Well read on. Paragraph 13 asks, "What about performing a legitimate service, such as delivering mail everywhere in a community, including places that promote wrong practices? Would not the principle stated at Matthew 5:45 have a bearing? Not to be overlooked is how doing the work day in and day out might affect our conscience. (Hebrews 13:18).

I know one JW mail carrier who might have to make some adjustments.

Interestingly, the title of the article is, "Each One Will Carry His Own Load." Looks like we really have to carry the load that the FDS piles on us.

or a bar, strip club, cigar store, porn shop...greeting card store (evil bday and xmas cards)...car dealership (unless the strictly sell 4 door cars or mini vans)...wow..the implications are endless ! LOL

Matt 5:45 reads "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous"

I would say that God provides a service for both the good and bad.

That is rediculious...........then how can a JW deliver to anyone at all that is not a Jehovah's Witness?

What if a JW was sending life saving information to one of those addresses?

Reminds me of people that request a different waiter/waitress if they happen to be DF.

What if you are a bus driver ------- a priest gets on your bus and wants to stop at a church? Would a JW say NO?

I wonder if it is ok for a painter to paint houses on a military base?

If people don't have enough to worry about as it is!!!!

I used to deliver mail to a church / convent, it never troubled my conscience and the elders knew I called there to drop mail off and never objected. This was before the new light on such things though, things might have now changed.

One day just before a Christmas the priest tried to give me a Christmas tip, £5 and I refused to take it. When he asked why i got all holier than thou and told him I was a dud and that I didn't celebrate Christmas. He pushed the matter and tried to force me to take the money and I flatly refused by telling him Christmas his church and himself were part of Babylon the great and as such I'd have nothing to do with it. I then walked off with him shouting out to me that I was a "little bastard"

I used to service a photocopier for both the dubs (who incidently wanted it for free!) and another church, and the articles that sometimes came up did bother me a tad, and yet deep down I personally didnt see anything wrong in it, again they took Jesus kindly yoke and weighed it down with their constant attempts to set our christian consciences for us!
