They feel that they know something no one else understands. They have secret knowledge that due to Satan's machinations not many will listen to. That gives them a feeling of "me against the world" and that feeling can be very strong. When the numbers go down the hardcore get stressed because they are doing even more to show how special they truly are and how much they believe it regardless of the slowdown of others.

Once you've watched 30 or 40 seconds of this guy talking out of both sides of his mouth (while under oath), you will know these guys are taught by "Mother" to spin the truth.

I told an ex-CO and the school overseer that JWs speak out of both sides of their mouth. When they were about to reply, I pointed my finger at them and asked them, "which side of your mouth are you going to use to answer that"?
I could get away with this because we are friends and we work together. I give them such a hard time.
The latest thing I told them was that they spend more time making excuses for themselves rather than honoring Jesus' words at John 13:35. "Stop making excuses and prove me wrong!"

Elsewhere I totally agree with your statement. A truly telling sign of how much they really care about people.
A bethelite acquaintance of mine told me that the feeling amongst many bethelites is that this cutback thing is indeed a move to clear out "dead" weight at Bethel. He also said that many in the factory felt like they were being replaced by machines...i.e. the new printing equipment. Its just like any corporation here in the U.S. there are layoffs of dead weight and jobs replaced by a more cost effective solution period. What I hate is that they are trying to make it seem so positive "more emphasis on the field..." Yeah right!
I will mention this as well because it does show that there is some truth to what he says. When i was there we were changing over from the hardback books to the paperback. A hardback book took about 20 guys and week to make 100,000 books. The paper back, (perfect bound) took about 5 guys 4 hours to make 100,000 books. This is something we highlighted on the tour. ( as for our reason to switching to paperback. everyone complained in the first few runs how the books would fall apart. but they switched glue types and the took care of it)

Tell me , bethel must have a library does it not. I've heard that The WTS discourages a university career. They are a bit reluctant to promote that anyone in bethel should study like mad to get into university Now I'm wondering the percentage of the kind of books in the bethel library. Please respond with percentages for the following books.
% WTS literature
% books pertaining to the infrastructure of bethel (printing presses etc)
% easy reading book (swiss family robinson etc)
% university grade books (physics, math, chemistry, biology etc)
There will be other announcements this year! Just wait and see what additional changes will be made........One by one the WTB&TS IS GOING TO CHANGE!
