This is the girl I am supposed to marry. I hope her beliefs do not interfere with our relationship.
I told her that NBC was doing a piece on JW child abuse and you know what she told me? She told me that the devil was working through the media to get to people.
Should I just not bring it up anymore? I am so fucking confused I don't know what to do!! HELP
Sounds frustrating...what about all the media articles favorable to the JWs...did Satan lose his hold on the media then? Either Jehovah is in charge of the media or Satan is...or do they take turns? Or is neither? Whatever...
When a situation is emotionally charged....no proof no matter how comprehensive or accurate will convince that person at that time. They have to step into the "proof" and even that does not work.

I already told her don't ever feed me that JW bullshit or try to convert me or I'll just leave. She said she wouldn't. She first told me she was a JW after my best friend died and I was very emotionally down. That's when she started talking about all the JW stuff to me and for some reason everything she was telling me was interesting until she got to the armageddon part HAHA.
sorry to tell you but you will have a miserable marriage..your only chance is to get her out....if she ever becomes active again, know thay she believes you will dead in a few years by the judgment of God. Know that you will be the out of the most important thing in her life. Know she will be depressed for you inactivity........know people will talk behind your back, as the guy who is making your wifes life miserable......I recall the advice a longtime Bethelite gave to a new boy, This brother called Wilbur in brooklyn bethel was known for his slow shuffle.........the new boy asked him what advice he had for new Bethelites..and Wilburs response is the same advice i am giving you

Since a good mariage is made by primarily, good communication, I would say you should keep bringing it up and see what happens. Better to find out now than after your married.
If the two of you are going to be seriously effected by her being and you not being a JW then find this out now before its too late and your stuck with a bad decision.
