Freddddddy foooo foooo...when you make inane comments like that, I know for a fact then when you are speaking intelligently, you are stealing the material from somebody else and not giving them credit for it. Your little red icon of who you are is accurate...a little boy playing at being the Devil's Little Bethelboy Advocate. hehehehe

Thats ok honey...we all know how your little cult brain works. It's not irreparable.

    Excellent idea for Ray!
I think the most logical way to handle this is wait for a post on ray's response from max. or whoever inquires to ray on this idea. Usually a person put in this dilema such as "Do you need money"? will have a hard time saying..."Why yes!,I could really use it". If he is strapped financially.....it would be better to just send a gift..no questions. I have his personall address if the commemtary press address is not sufficient.....providing this address I have is still current. It has been about 6 years since we have corresponded.

rent. It has been 6 years ago since he and I wrote each other.

Mr.Moe, I like your idea for a Ray Franz fund.
This man has written books that are most helpful for JWs, ex-JWs, and anyone with questions about this peculiar sect.
As Farkel or somone else said, he does it all alone. No team, no secretaries, to help him with his mail, the book orders, etc. On top of that, he works on having CoC translating in other languages.... He is quite an amazing person.
For those of you who don't know, here is his web-site, where you can find ordering informations for his books and others.

But as someone else said, first we need to know if this fund is necessary, or welcome...

Well, I'll say one thing. The service at Commentary Press is excellent (way better than Amazon).

Okay, I'll say another thing. I've read books written by other men and women that have changed my life, or made me think differently, and I'm not about to start giving them my money. Think about it.

Hello! Of course it's necessary and I am sure he would not mind a check or two in the mail, would you?

I currently sell research studies in book form - and at $16 a pop the profit for Ray must be very low. How would you like to be his age with no retirement plan and a pitiful excuse for health insurance? This is why he sells his books, to get by, otherwise he would give them away.

How many of us donated big bucks to the WT? I did and now I feel my resources are better donated to people who REALLY help others. We are not talking about Jerry Fallwell here. He and his wife are aged and if my few dollars that I send help put food on the table or buy clothes or even send them on a much needed vacation, then so be it. He deserves it.

To be honest, I don't care if he makes good money (although I am willing to bet the farm he doesn't,) the WT made great money and I donated to them. It's his turn now.

If you don't want to donate, then don't. If you do, then go for it. Keep in mind how they feel - him and his wife - and how you would be if you were their age...
