Problem with the phrase middle-aged?? Well I am glad you raised this, as it is a highly subjective term of little meaning. For example should one live to the ripe age of 100, then middle age is in fact 50. However in some cases life is snuffed out at 20 and thus making middle age for said person 10 years of age.
Interesting points, Kis. However, we MUST look at this from a theocratic point of view.
As we well know from the "generation" teachings, a generation is 70 years. Therefore, middle-aged is 35.....unless, of course the prophecy concerning the generation in question never comes to pass and Jehovah sees fit to adjust the length of a generation to fit.
In this case, we know for a certainty that Jehovah has now informed the GB that a generation is 125 years. Therefore, middle age is 62 1/2 years. Unless, of course, Jehovah should see fit to inform the GB that the generation should reflect the generation present at the time of creation, which would have been approximately 1,000 years....making middle age, 500 years old.
This means, obviously, that everyone since the time of Adam and Eve has died in infancy.
Please, dear Kismet, correct your thinking on the matter.
