LDH, I must apologise for such crap being spouted. Most Aussies are decent people, but there is a significant minority who think the world owes them and no-one else a living. I was absolutely shocked when some friends came to visit me from Queensland (Pauline Hanson country, actually , they were from Ipswich). When I met them in Sydney, they totally refused to let me take them to Chinatown for lunch - they objected to signs on shops with Chinese characters on them! (And, I imagine, all those Asians!)

There are certain "Anglo" suburbs I won't walk through at night - ever been to Bellambi?

PS Older Tom not only have I listened to Police Radio, my father is retired 5-0.

And he was the only white police officer who was able to be assigned to the black neighborhoods during the riots of '68 in Washington DC, after Martin Luther King was killed.

Why? Because even though he grew up in the back woods of the deep south, he spent years as a US Marine and found out that all men bleed the same color.

Luckily he was still a young man when he realized Martin Luther King was correct--men should be judged on the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

Stephanus, I don't take OT's attitude as that of most Aussies, at all.

Let's go to Vietnam and bomb the shitter out of them for a while. so long as we don't get the war in the US

Where are these vietnameses now? got em Many are very productive BUT THEY DON"T MIX The consider us Aussies to be scum Ever been to Cabramatta at night? I didn't think so. How would you feel iving in a city where a murder or two a night is the norm? Hearing gunshot at night is not unusual? You actually expect to have your car stolen you just don't know when? To dispose of your car and claim insurance you only need to park your car at a railwaystation.

Oh yes it is always easy to give advice to others so long as you don't have to deal with the problem yourself.

Amazing isn't it the world always has solutions for other countries problems so long as they don't have to do anything to help with the problem. Cheap advice is exactly that.

How many of these Refugees can I send to you to look after? Stephanus is taking 6. Can I put you down for 6 too? All you have to do is clothe them, feed them, house them, educate them and make sure they are ready to leave when they are found not to be refugees.

Talk is cheap put your money where your mouth is. It is quite obvious you don't have to pay for these people with your taxes and have to deal with the problems.

HA HA HA HA HA HA Older Tom, I love you but you are barking up the wrong tree.

Remember, I live in Fresno, CA. Our polulation bast is 38% white 8%black 30% hispanic of Mexican origin and the rest mostly Asian.

But mayby you don't get our news there. 12 days ago in Sacramento, our state capital, a white Russian immigrant killed his whole family. He was added to the FBI's ten most wanted list and was captured yesterday. Yes, he lived in the Slavic enclave in Sacramento. He looked like a stereotypical blonde haired blue eyed California surf boy.

Statistics here in Fresno County: (I can get exact sources for you if you're interested) 60% of our population uses some form of government assistance

Until two years ago, Fresno led the nation in car thefts second only to Newark, NJ. You know, OT, that's why I pay my insurance premiums. They can afford the loss of a car way more than I can. PS, it was a blonde hair blue eyed girl who rear-ended me four years ago at a red light, doing 55 mph. That's the only claim I've had on my insurance.

As far as the Vietnamese thing goes, maybe you didn't realise but after South Vietnam fell, the US relocated MANY friendly Vietnamese here in the Central Valley. WHY? Because their society was a mostly feudal one, and they have no trouble being out in the blazing sun picking fruits and veggies for the likes of me and my lazy ass self. Before I moved to Fresno, I didn't even know what a HMONG was.

You tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. Yet my husband and I spend our time and our money (yes, we actually contribute cash dollars, not just taxes) to give disadvantaged people a leg up.

I really wish I could give you a snapshot of the demographics of Fresno city and county. If you're interested, I'll find a link and post them for you.
