little known fact: Apostapussys are attracted by the smell of a certain type of ink that is only used by a small publishing company in New York. It drives them into a feeding frenzy and they have been known to eat small dub kids and the spiritually weak

(edit: can you say "pussy" in here or will i get hauled off to the jwd library afterwards?)

The newly discovered critter may appear similar to fossil finds but they would not be genetic twins. At least 11 million years of genetic drift would have taken place. So even IF the new creature is decended from the fossil species they are not the same species. However it is also possible that these two critters are not directly related but the result of convergent or relay evolution. Given similar environmental pressures it is not unusual for two unrelated (or at least not closely related) species to take on similar outward appearance.

It can't be an "unclebruce", that species is already clearly proven to be a direct descendant of "homo erectus"...
