I've got $500 on Taylor Hicks to win American Idol ( 10 to 1 odds ) : )

It's a good thing last night's singing wasn't a part of the contest.....Taylor sucked. His voice was pitchy and then flat in a lot of places.
Also he was very subdued, not the usual Taylor.
Of course, Elliot's cover of Luther was amazing.

From what I'm reading, Hicks was totallly exhausted (couldn't sleep) and it showed up in his voice. Kat's voice was so bad that her doc had to give her a cortisone shot before the big finale. I think their voices were on the ropes last night because of this past frenzied week.
I loved the show!
And congratulations, A (gambling ) Christian, on your win...

BTW, I still think there's something neurologically wrong with Hicks. Guess the handicapped have come a long way.
