If Ray's books are a total bore it must be because he provides EVIDENCE to back up his conclusions. Penton makes sweeping statements WITHOUT BACKING THEM UP.

A REAL SCHOLAR PROVIDES PROOF.

I recommend COC to anyone. It is easily the nost influential book to be published by an ex-Witness and has helped thousands to see the falsehood of the Organization.

True that, that's what makes Penton more interesting in that "Bill O'reilly kinda way". Penton lets his world view and biases skew his work. He needs to find a happy medium IMO. Ray Franz, if you can stomach the boredom, is a much more effective at letting his presented facts shape his conclusions.

Again, so people don't jump on me for speaking, this is just an observation on my part.

Boredom. I couldn't put it down. My wife read it long into the night. It's a page turner. I think it depends on how "immersed" you were in dubdom. The deeper you were in, the more mesmerized you will be by this book. Almost every chapter has a lightbulb moment.

What?!?! Franz' books are not only filled with a wealth of documented detail, but also the author's objectivity shines through?!?! We certainly don't want that!!!! [sarcasm -- for those who are slow on the uptake]
