hi everyone this is my first post! Got d'fed 4 years ago for liking/loving another ministerial servants wife. Happily married to her now! Really glad I am out of the organisation now. Was bought up in the 'truth'. Mum and Dad haven't spoken to me for 4 years - that hurts but it is their loss. Don't miss one bit of being a Dub - realise now that even the friendships were false. Spending lots of quality time with my wife, travelling to different parts of the world as much as we can. Visited New York recently - strange how I felt compelled to see 'Bethel'. Have done some interesting research on the Witto's and the most disturbing thing for me was not all the money they have, but the fact that they mis-quote other peoples work to justify their own ludicrous doctrines. Anyway it's nice to join this forum. Hello world!

Welcome to the forum, you have an interesting story to tell, and the JW doctrines are indeed ludicrous not surprising given that the man who created most of them was an alcoholic.

Hi I'm the ministerial servant's wife s.a.b. ran off with. I not only escaped the shackles of a dead and lifeless marriage, but I now have liberty from the most ridiculous religion in the world. I am so happy now, I just wish all my brainwashed relatives would see the light too. At least my kids have stopped all association with the wittos now!

    SAB and Bubble,

Welcome. Many JW marriages are no different that those in muslim countries. They are arranged for convenience and to further the truth.

I knew a young sister of about 21 that married a fat, greasy 40 year old supermarket cashier because he was 'upwardly mobile in the congregation.' Hate to say it, but it's 20 years later and I wonder what that marriage is like now....

So, I am HAPPY that you escaped into each other's arms. You only live once, and you deserve to be in love.

    Tell us more!

    Lisa

thanks for your message of support lisa! we were secretly seeing each other for 8 years. during that time i was regularly giving public talks as a ministerial servant, taking the lead in field service and was the congregations best watchtower reader. however whilst i was on the platform reading a paragraph about david and bathsheba i had a panic attack and had to excuse myself and sit down. everyone was really supportive - if only they knew! my ex wife was a real burden - never went on field service, would never answer up, didn't like them using our house for field service or for the group study. still thought she was a real witness though. since our divorce she has fallen away as one by one her friends deserted her. anyway enough about that episode in my life - now i am super happy with a lovely wife, my chidren also don't go to the meetings any more. it's such a shame that intelligent people like my parents cannot see how enslaved they are.
