ok time for a funny story...
I went to Target to buy Crash with out knowing who was in it or what it was about. I see this movie entitled "Crash" on the shelf with a bunch of other good movies. So I grab it along w/ some condoms and go...I was in a bit of a rush. I get home and throw it into the DVD player and about 10 mins into the movie my date for the night goes "This isn't Crash!" I show her the DVD box and sure enough it says "Crash" but evidently it is a soft core porn by the same name as the award winning movie. I was a bit pissed, since it wasn't even a good porn, and I couldn't take it back b/c I had already viewed the DVD. Anyway I thought you all might get a laugh out of that.
Hi Andi. The movie was awesome, though I wasn't inclined to view it initially from all the hubbub it was receiving. I usually associate a movie with that type of hype associated with it as just another way for Hollywood to wrench from me some more of my money, but I was truly impressed, and as far as Hollywood goes, it takes a lot for them to impress me. Any who've yet to see it will not, too, easily be disappointed.
I loved it. Watched it twice. I decided to rent the movie after Oprah had her "Crash" moment in France. I had to see what could be a "Crash" moment for Oprah.
I want to rent this movie, but I don't want to waste my time on the lousy soft-core porn movie with the same name. What year was the movie made in and who was in it?
Elsewhere, Ludacris the rapper is in it and Terrance Howard.

LOL Jaredg. Good one!
I've seen Crash and we found it very entertaining. Interesting how our lives intersect with other people. Kinda freaky.

I thought Crash was nothing but the Hollywood elites' take on the lives of the great unwashed in "fly-over country."
It was also the safest "F-you" that Hollywood could say to "fly-over country" that they could vote for.
Every single stereotype they could think of they wrote about. I kept waiting for the catty old queen to jump out and start raking people over the coals with his razor sharp wit.
Walk the Line or Narnia were by far more deserving of the Best Picture nod than Crash or Brokeback Mountain.
I'm a big Sandra Bullock fan, so I couldn't wait for this one to come out. But I didn't really like it. I thought the acting and cinematography were good, but I didn't care for the story.

One of the best movies I've ever seen, The writer had a lot of guts. It deserved every award, esp best picture.
