You made me wonder, what would happen if The GB came out and said, "Nope, the end has gotta be, oh, at least a century or two away. No doubt about it." What, do you suppose, would be the population of the next meeting?
Do things really suck worse now, than ever before? Or is it just that we get to hear about ALL of the bad stuff, often seeing it unfold in near real time?

we are in the "last days of the last days",
The last days began (after some revision) in 1914. Here, 92 years later we have entered the last day of the last days. These will extend for another 9 years until 2015, at which point we will enter 'the last days of the last days of the last days.'Unless of course, the 'last days' will start all over again with new light pointing out the obvious that 101 years of 'last days' probably means those days weren't the last afterall. 36,000 days is fairly long time in most people's eyes especially as most people won't see that many days in their entire life.
